The Old World is anew. Dust off your Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures - massed battle returns to the worlds of Warhammer Fantasy
Since the announcement in November 2019 there has been a slow build of excitement for the return of the classic Warhammer Fantasy battle which was discontinued in 2015. Back then the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battle was destroyed by dark forces leaving the few remaining survivors to travel through to the Age of Sigmar a new setting and new style of play but leaving a clear overlap in Lore between the two games. Which now will offer two different styles of play in the worlds of fantasy (essentially allowing massed battles of classic 1990s Warhammer to return to the battlefield).
We have secured a limited supply for customers which will be available on release in store (some of which are pre-orders), and cannot wait to see some of you on our battle table with your amazing armies! We are acutely aware that some of you missed out on the initial release this morning (we were there trying to secure further copies for you!) and they will be available again as Games Workshop receive their next delivery from the printers.
The initial release includes the Tomb Kings and the Kingdom of Bretonnia, and will also see a trio of hardback tomes to bring your armies back to battlefields of the Old World.
What’s that you say? My old armies can hit the battlefield again? - yep! the following hardbacks will enable the following;
Forces of Fantasy meanwhile contains army lists for those on the side of good: the Dwarfen Mountain Holds, the Empire of Man, the Kingdom of Bretonnia, the Wood Elf Realms, and the High Elf Realms. Each has profiles for every unit in the army, plus special rules for that faction, unique spells, magic items, and more, alongside showcases of beautifully painted Citadel miniatures.
Ravening Hordes does the same job for the monstrous forces of evil, covering the Orc and Goblin Tribes, the Warriors of Chaos, the Beastmen Brayherds, and the Tomb Kings of Khemri.

Deathwing Assault coming 2024
The Deathwing - the brutal first company of the Dark Angels are returning with new miniatures, codex and Grand Master Azrael!
In addition to the existing Combat Patrol the Dark Angels range is expanding in 2024 with an addition to the existing Combat Patrol. This time its the legendary Deathwing!
The Deathwing Assault army box gives you Belial the Grand Master of the chapter, five Deathwing Knights, 10 Terminators, two complete sets of Dark Angels upgrades, dataslate cards, and the full codex supplement with a cover exclusive to this set.
This is an excellent base for any army, hard hitting and these box sets are normally 30 to 40% cheaper than buying the contents individually. We’ll have more on the prices and the army points value when we have it in black and white!
We expect this to come in at around £140 recommended retail before our discount is applied.
